Hi, my name is Betty Milam. I started quilting about five years ago after having two girls back to back. I was completly self taught with NO idea what I was doing. Today, I still have the first quilts I made for my girls. It's amazing the passion I have developed for quilting. I have amassed quite a library of quilting books, joined the Rock Valley Quilters Guild, started an EQ(Electronic Quilt) study group through the guild and am now teaching quilting technique classes at local quilting shops. I am constantly grasping new techniques and can't wait for my next quilting adventure. I am not directed to only one type of quilting style, I enjoy piecing, applique, paper piecing, thread painting, designing and anything else I can imagine to try on my next project.

This is one of my quilts that I made for a challange for my quilt quild. It was a Scrappy Sedona Star. The pattern was by Marti Michell. The challange was to use 3 out of 4 "ugly" yellows that the guild supplied, and you had to include at least one star in your quilt. I like stars so I made mine a king size for our bed.
